WE REMEMBER our dearly beloved Fr Brendan, whose funeral Mass and burial took place on Tuesday last in St Mary’s. We remember also Maureen McSkane, Moyvane, Co Kerry, James Greenan, Rockcorry, Peter McGuirk, Tullycorbet and Nicola West, Ballybay, who died recently. May they all rest in peace, Amen!

MANY THANKS to all who helped in any way on the funeral of Fr Brendan. Thanks to those who helped steward the church and grounds, to those who provided Guards of Honour at the removal and burial. Thanks to the Choirs, the musicians, the Readers and the Altar Servers and all who helped prepare for the liturgy. A very special word of thanks to the Sacristan of St Mary’s, Geraldine McSkane, who organised the church so well. Thanks also to the Clontibret Community Centre committee. Finally, thanks to all parishioners, from all three churches, who turned out in such large numbers to celebrate the life of a great priest and friend to us all. On behalf of the Parish may we extend our sincerest sympathy to Fr Brendan’s sister Nuala, his brothers Brendan and Dessie and their families. May God grant him eternal rest!
