PARISH OF CLONTIBRET NEWSLETTER

19th Sunday in Ordinary Time                                  7th August 2005

TODAY’S GOSPEL tells us a lot about Peter’s character. He often acted on impulse and failed to account of the “bigger picture” as Jesus calls us to do. However, he eventually succeeded by clutching to Christ, as we must do, even in failure.

”Lord! Save me!” is a prayer for us all in times of trial and opposition.
