“Come
to me all you who labour and are overburdened and I will give you rest” In today’s Gospel reading,
we find this teaching being preached to a people overburdened with legalisms,
arrogance and suffering. Suffering tears open the human heart and exposes its
depths. In the teachings of Jesus, we find rest.
