18 December 2005                                     Fourth Sunday of Advent.

MARY! Today we celebrate the role of Mary in the incarnation. The devotion of the Angelus in honour of the incarnation dates from the 13th century. It is a daily reminder that the Incarnation, the passion, death and resurrection of Christ the Son of God are all facets of the same mystery whose object it is that we may be brought to share in the glory of the same resurrection, Amen! Come Lord Jesus! Maranatha!
