NEXT SUNDAY is the Feast of Christ the King: It will be the last Sunday of the Church’s year. Pope Pius XI instituted the feast in 1925. Readings: Ez 34:11-12,15-17; Ps 22; 1 Cor 15:20-26,28; Mt 25:31-46. Next Sunday therefore sees us complete the cycle of Matthew’s Gospel. From the following Sunday we commence the reading of Mark’s Gospel.

Helped to reform the Church through her example. Thurs 16th- St Elizabeth of Hungary. Queen of Hungary at the age of 14, widowed and exiled at 20. Franciscan Tertiary until her death in at 24 in 1231.
