Welcome to The Parish of Clontibret Website!

Failte go dti an ait Idirlinn seo!

Welcome to the Parish Website of the Catholic Parish of Clontibret in the Diocese of Clogher, Co. Monaghan, Ireland.

Our Parish is a Community of Christian Faith, consisting of about 800 Catholic families with an approximate population of 2,700 people. It is located on the southern side of the border between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland; between the towns of Castleblayney, Ballybay and Monaghan. The parish territory is largely rural and covers an area of some 116 townlands. We have three churches and three Catholic schools - St Michael's at Annyalla, St Mary's at Clontibret and All Saints at Doohamlet.

In today's world, the Internet is a modern means of communications. In our constant quest for knowledge it is important to use modern and appropriate means of communications in order to bring people closer to God through His Church.

Our site has been designed and updated by a number of parishioners and I hope that you will find it to be of help to you. We update it regularly so as to keep our parishioners and friends, at home and elsewhere, informed of our parish activities and those of the wider Church.

The parish always welcomes suggestions regarding the website and you are invited to submit your comments or suggestions.

Le Beannacht Dé,

Fr. Paudge McDonnell P.P.
